A combination of Tolkien's mystic elves and renaissances' medieval royalty, Aubrey Wolves and Leopards feel they are the highest in society and have made their way to the top alone. Yet, they depend soley on the help of Ingrims to know the goings-on and to send messeges from one pack to the other. When in deepest trouble, they seek aid of the highest Sheas as well, but try not to let anyone know about it. Some Sheas are even chosen to live with the Aubrey so that they aren't seen going to and from their home. All the other Clans, see Aubrey as the wealthy and powerful creatures, so they never begin wars against them, but they do poke fun at them for being "lazy", making everyone else do all the work for them. Aubreys have gigantic armies and are masters of war, that is what made them so famous and well-liked. Many tales are told of mystical ones of long ago that had powers to read the minds of others, or do supernatural things like touch the clouds and sun. One tale told of a lost Aubrey Leopard cub named Osmond, that wandered away from home and Estah gave him radiance of the sun within his soul, so he could continue to travel through the night, to find his home. Aubrey Wolves and Leopards can sustain freezing temperatures below zero, and harsh heat. They also have many morals, so they never get divorced and choose a mate for life, then have one to three (or more) cubs or pups to carry the family name. A male or female keeps their family name, as well as the one who they marry, adopting their mates as a second name (Jenna Wynn + Frit Galen= Jenna Wynn-Galen & Frit Galen-Wynn). When born if it is female, she adopts the mothers original last name, and if a male, it gets the fathers, therefore keeping it in the family. Announcing yourself with two names is one way of telling the opposite gender "I'm taken", and the other is that the ID tag you wear, will recieve a diamond-shaped star, stamped directly through the metal, below their ID number. This makes it perminant! Their whole courtship works so there is no mistakes when you make that final thought to become a family. If their mate has died in a war or some other way, the children will assume the role as the father/mother and they live the rest of their long life as a widow.
An Aubreys age is three years to every one year of a humans life. This makes twelve months seem like only four months of body growth, giving them alot more time to learn, seek the perfect mate, and do whatever they wish in the prime of their life (which is about sixty years), before old age begins to creep in. The life expectancy of an Aubrey (240) is trice that of a human (80). This makes them the oldest living, and the wisest.
Aubrey breeds
Wolves (white, timber), snow leopards, arctic foxes.
The Aubrey homes
Aubreys like evergreens! They love them because they are strong, and stay vibrant and beautiful all year long, lasting the winters as they do themselves. The wolves live on the ground, within the beautiful cavernous structures that are tightly woven with thick vines and leaves into a dome-like shape. Each pack member usually lives in their own structure, and are in the same area together, like a small town. You most commonly find them in forests amongst the oldest of evergreens. Like most, they are not nomadic and once a spot is chosen, they live there all their life. Leopards have the same qualities, only they feel much safer under trees. Their homes are usually the same dome shape, with the center wrapped round the tree trunks. In order to get in and out of the domes, they build a tunnel underground. The hill of dirt is built around the opening so rain doesn't seep in, with a grass-disguised hatch to close off preditors. To every dome there is one portion of the wall that is weakly woven, which they close-off from the inside and use it as an icebox in winter. Much of the time, they plant fruit-bearing plants like strawberries indoors and most of their homes are walled by different spieces of plants, fragrant flowers and bushes.
The Diet
They are most famous for a tea drink they make by boiling pine cones for their sap, which are yearly harvested. They fancy any long-lasting food of their area, and send for imports of special food, such as sweet fruits like sugar melon, apples, peaches, and vines of grapes, which is used to repay the Ingrim for their delivery services. Whatever doesn't hold up, they lay aside in the fall within their icebox.
Common Traditions
The Aubrey worship the sky. they believe that their souls go to the heavens to glitter in the sky and be looked upon by all. The brightest star, they believed was their creater, Estah. When it is directly overhead, they have a celebration in Her honour to show they still love her, and to thank her for looking over them for the months she appears in the sky. The celebration usually includes the yearly sacrifice of their eldest member, so that their spirit can join Estah and the other souls of the sky. But, some packs do not believe in doing so.
When finding a mate at their prime age of 45 (which, to you is 15 in human years), they gather at the Hall of Devotion, which is usually just called "The Hall". A lush forest under a dome with vines widely woven for the stars to look upon them. The forest is only used when darkness falls until days first light. Woven walls split the Hall into four main sections. Section one, the "Meeting Place" for the lonely, single ones to gather and choose who they'd want. The second section is for walking about, picnicing and getting to know the one you admire. After spending five years with them, on the anniversary of your first glance in the Meeting Place, you may or may not wish to go to the third section, in which your in total privacy (by bushes, trees and small viney walls), to "do what you will". The final section is attached to the side of the Hall, in which if they done anything in section three, they might've began a family, and the final section serves as a sort of "first house" until they can figure out where they will stay.
What's In?
They wear beautiful silken things of gold, silver, metallic blue, sky blue, deep purple and raven black. Females love lace and frills. The closest thing would be your Elizabethian style. Males like the proper clothes of a king, or at least something close to it. They do not wear tights because they believe only a wimp or female would wear such things, though they adore jewellery like fancy thick-chained necklaces or thin bracelets made of gold that covor the entire wrist with fancy script. Both genders find that they must use a certain soap (made by the Hodges) to give them fur that is as soft as a rabbits, which to another Aubrey, is very attractive! They spray scented oils on their lower back, then rub it into their fur, giving off usually a pine or flower fragrance. Ribbons usually are worn by females to attract a male, tying them round her head so that they flow down her back like human hair. The band round the head has a string of small pearls, signifying stars. Males wear jewels to show wealth and power, and white baggy, silken shirts and tight pants to make them seem radiant.

Some of the last names they use are Devinen, Estahson, Puri, Whiterose, Fairdream, and Elvwise, to name a few. The name Puri is what started the nickname "purie" for Aubrey's, not only because they were pure, but because the Puri's were one of the eldest and most well-known for helping many other clans get under the protection of the Lyzbeth name. As for their first names, they tend to get many under the same name, so they add roman numerals behind them, like "Noah VI".
